· Launch the “Printer” menu and tap on the “Run Troubleshooting Tool” option.

· After running this instruction, the printer troubleshooting tool begins scanning the entire device to recognize the internal error.

When the troubleshooting tool determines the problem, it will begin to repair them. Once done, a result will be displayed that will appear on the screen.

Method 3: Make sure the printer is set as the default device

If the Brother printer is not set as the default device, this error is likely to occur. Therefore, follow the instructions:

· Go to Cortana’s search box and type “Default printer” inside it. Click the “Change Default Printer” icon to launch the menu.

· This window includes the option “Let Windows manage my default printer.” You can uncheck the option if necessary.

· Invoke the Control Panel section and open the Devices and Printers section.

· Keep select on the Brother printer and check the Set as default button.

· Save the action by clicking the “Yes” button twice.

· Here you will find all the drivers installed on the device. Continue tapping on the printer driver and select the “Search automatically for updated driver software” option.

· Once the latest version of the printer driver appears on the screen, you will be asked to confirm. Just press the “Update Driver” button and follow the instructions on the net.

Method 6: Disable Windows Firewall
